Pererenan, beyond the gate.
Canggu's calmer western edge: rice fields and unhurried lanes, a black-sand break a few minutes away, and a coast that faces the sunset.

Pererenan is the calmer western edge of Canggu, on Bali's south-west coast — a village of rice terraces and unhurried lanes that gives way, within minutes, to black-sand beaches and a dependable break. It is close enough to the rest of Canggu to reach on a whim, and far enough away that the evenings stay quiet.
The beach, five to ten minutes away.
Pererenan Beach is about five to ten minutes from the Estate by car, and so are Echo Beach and Batu Bolong, where the beach clubs cluster. Your concierge can arrange boards and a private guide, or a session timed to the sunset.

A coast that faces the sunset.
This stretch of shore looks out over the Indian Ocean towards the setting sun, so most evenings end with it going down over the water. The beach clubs fill early; the sand does not.
Further up the same coast, in Tabanan, the temple of Tanah Lot stands on a rock offshore — reachable on foot only when the tide is out.
Good neighbours.
Pererenan's cafés are a few minutes from the gate, and a handful of neighbours extend privileges to Ocean Palm guests for the length of their stay.
